Charles A. Wolfe, Jr.December 22, 1928 - August 22, 2015

Charles Anthony Wolfe, Jr., 86, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Memorial University Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1928 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anthony Wolfe, Sr.

The lifelong resident of Savannah was a loving and generous husband, father, and grandfather. His Catholic faith was the most important part of his life along with his family. He graduated from Benedictine Military School, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Delta Airlines for 37 years, retiring in 1984. Upon retiring from Delta, he worked at The Landings Golf Courses. Charles was a charter member of the Fenian Society and an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife of 58 years, Audrey Edwards Wolfe.

Surviving are his eight children: Tony Wolfe, Cathy Wolfe, both of Savannah, Patsy Whitlock (Jimmy), of Lilburn, GA, Linda Huggins (Mike), Kaye Babot (Roy), Danny Wolfe (Beth), Angela Faye Kandarian, all of Savannah, and Michael Wolfe, of Brooklet, GA. Grandchildren: Jimmy and Melissa Whitlock, of Lilburn, GA, Abby Wolfe, of Savannah, Tony Wolfe (Kelly), of New York, NY, April, Nikki, and Mike Huggins, Mike Wolfe, all of Savannah, Taylor Walker (Buddy) of Jesup, GA, And Brittany Lacy, of Lexington, SC. He is also survived by his siblings: Edward Wolfe (Elfie Schaffer), Charlotte McCarthy (Mike), Frances Kluck (Richard), and Donald Wolfe (Melody), all of Savannah.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015 with a Christian Wake Service at 6:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
